Reflections on my 20 Year College Reunion

Thoughts and ruminations on
​my 20 year college reunion

A week ago, I was in Atlanta for my 20 year college reunion. It was spiritually uplifting, emotionally recharging, and tons of fun. In a stream of random thoughts, these are my reflections:

• The Spelman Sisterhood is real. It is inspiring and humbling to be part of something so extraordinary. It is such an amazing blessing.

• The SpelHouse '98 family is pure wonderful love. I was thrilled to see my class of 98 SpelHouse family. I'm so proud of the amazing women and men everyone has become and all of their accomplishments.
• As an artist and aesthetically inspired person, I cannot ignore how truly amazing everyone looked. The past 20 years have treated folks well. Not sure if it's prayers, good living, excellent genes, or what, but something is preserving everyone amazingly well. 
• I am hyper aware of the illusion of a guaranteed tomorrow. Spending time with friends, sharing moments and creating memories, take on an important significance. I am full of gratitude and joy for every moment of last week.
• I already miss everyone and am looking forward to seeing folks at homecoming in October.
