11x14” mixed media on canvas These are part of my heart light series. the addition of coiled paper was a happy accident. Strips of paper fell onto the painting and I liked the way it looked and thought the coiled paper would give it a similar multidimensional effect. It was difficult to decide the colors that would be used for the people and the background. As I try to venture out from using blue all the time, I'm finding other color combinations that work as well as my tried and true blue combinations. I tend to stay committed to my favorite color palette which now is pink, yellow, green, turquoise and orange. starshine #2
