I'm experimenting with a new technique involving rolled paper. It's labor intensive, but well-worth it - I love the 3 dimensional look.
I'm working a series of 10+ paintings like this one. Still trying to decide if I'll add facial features.
This is part of the wine country series.
This one is part of the shima (Japanese for island) series. The inspiration is combination of the Mexican, French and Italian rivieras. Just realized it would make more sense to call it the riviera series, but I like the word 'shima' better :-)
Inspired by the view of the Washington monument I enjoy on my morning walks.
